Lemon garlic Mahi Mahi
If we can do restaurant-quality dishes, then, of course, you can do it too! I use a stovetop-to-oven method in this recipe, but you can do it with a skillet.
Note: TB = tablespoons, tsp. = Tea spoons
Preparation information:
- Preparation : 10 min
- Cooking : 20min
- Total : 30 min
Ingredients:
Lemon Garlic Mixture
- 2 TB salted butter – Let it melt at room temperature
- 1 Tb freshly chopped parsley – You can use chives if you prefer it
- kosher salt depending on your taste (I use 1/8)
- 1Tb fresh lemon juice or just use one lemon if you’re too lazy to make juice.
- freshly black ground pepper to your taste, but I recommend 1/4
- 1 lemon sliced (Don’t peel it)
- 3 cloves minced or shredded garlic
- 1 lb. asparagus, but you can use broccolini as a replacement.
- 1/4 tsp. crushed red pepper flakes
For The Fish :
- 4 mahi-mahi fillets, 4oz each
- 2 Tb olive oil
- kosher salt and freshly ground black pepper.
Instructions :
Lemon Garlic Sauce:
- Add the melted butter, followed by garlic + fresh lemon juice.
- Add your chosen herps, I go for parsley
Note: You can always prepare the sauce ahead of time and warm it up before serving, it’s a fantastic sauce to have on hand.
The Fish :
- Pat-dry the moisture from the fillers using paper towels
- Sprinkle it with pinches of kosher salt and freshly ground black pepper (on both sides), then set aside.
- Melt 1Tb of butter and olive oil.
- Add Mahi Mahi, then salt and pepper
- 3 min of cooking until browned on one side, then flip it and add 1Tb olive oil + asparagus
- Transfer to a 400F preheated oven.
- Roast it until it’s golden and don’t forget to be sure that the center is cooked.
- heat your prepared lemon-garlic mixture over medium-high heat, stir it until melted and bubbly.
- Add the fish to the mixture and be sure it covers all the fish
- You can add wild rice as a second dish – Served with extra lemon slices for garnish.
Note: You can use a skillet instead of the oven, cook the fish until it’s golden, then add it to the lemon sauce after stirring it.
